[macOS General] OS X El Capitan へアップグレードする

仕事が一区切り付いているので、OS X 10.11.2 へ移行しました。

対象ハードウェアは、こちらの公式で確認。

移行トラブルの調査

移行トラブルについて事前調査を行う。
Homebrew は、新しく導入される System Integrity Protection により /usr/local まわりで対応が必要になる。

日本語変換で利用する ATOK については、再インストール時に対応が必要で、一部機能の利用ができなくなる。

外付けHDD My Passport for Mac の旧型は、利用できなくなるかも知れない。

手順

バックアップをとる

  • brew upgrade を済ましておく。
% brew update
% brew doctor
% brew upgrade
% brew cleanup
  • App Store から、OS X インストーラーをダウンロードする。
  • Time Machine バックアップを実行する。

First Aid を実行する

  • リカバリモードで再起動する。リンゴマークが表示されるまで cmd+R を押しっぱなしにする。
  • ディスクユーティリティの First Aid で「ディスクの検証 -> 修復」「ディスクのアクセス権を検証 -> 修復」を実行する。
  • 再起動を行う。

アップグレードする

  • brew doctor を念のため再実行。
  • Time Machine バックアップを再実行する。完了時間を控えておく。
  • ダウンロード済の OS X インストーラーを実行する（1時間ほどで完了）。

動作確認

  • brew doctor を実行。/usr/local のパーミッションの変更指示が表示されるので、そのまま実行する。
% brew doctor

Even if this directory was writable when you installed Homebrew, other
software may change permissions on this directory. Some versions of the
"InstantOn" component of Airfoil or running Cocktail cleanup/optimizations
are known to do this.
You should probably change the ownership and permissions of /usr/local
back to your user account.
  sudo chown -R $(whoami):admin /usr/local
% sudo chown -R $(whoami):admin /usr/local

% brew doctor
Your system is ready to brew.
  • ATOK 日本語変換、辞書の参照ができることを確認。
  • ファイルの読み書きを確認。WD Drive Utilities でチェック（但し動作対象外）。

いまのところ不具合なく、すべてのアプリがキビキビ動くようになった印象です。
